Man in England Felled by Mesothelioma

October 26th, 2007 · No Comments

One would think that working in a hospital would prevent unnecessary exposure to such harmful substances as asbestos. However, a recent newspaper article published in England showed that this is anything but the case, as a former hospital worker was killed recently by mesothelioma after being exposed to it for years.

“A PENSIONER from Cheddar died after being exposed to asbestos while working in some of the regions hospitals.

Ernest Paul, of Nye Close, died aged 77 of malignant mesothelioma after working for Mid Somerset Hospital Board during the 1960s.

Mr Paul was a maintenance worker for the board and used to work in hospitals across the county assisting with the boilers and helping remove asbestos.”
