Lawyers for CSX Transportation Corporation, a Jacksonville Florida based railroad company, say they are unable to find Dr. Ray Harron who is a key witness inĀ asbestos-related cases filed against the company.
The lawyers are accusing Dr. Harron, a semi-retired Bridgeport, West Virginia radiologist, of falsifying many of the medical reports he reviewed. CSX Transportation is currently fighting lung-damage claims. Dr. Harron was a key witness in the case 88,000 people raised against the company. He has been unreachable since July when the lawyers for CSX added him to a witness list in order to serve him with legal papers. He is being accused of working with a Pittsburgh law firm to falsify reports of CSX Transportation being responsible for lung damage and asbestosis in numerous former and current employees.
A lawyer for Dr. Harron based in Texas says that the doctor is in the United States and is undergoing periodic chemotherapy treatments at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. This in response to allegations by the lawyers for CSX Transportation that Dr. Harron had fled the country to a small Caribbean nation in order to avoid any possible legal consequences for his actions.
