Arizona Man Claims Mesothelioma in Lawsuit

November 20th, 2007 · No Comments

An Arizona man has filed suit against 67 defendant corporations alleging that his employment with many of them and working with products for many others has caused his mesothelioma. He was diagnosed August 3rd.

The suit, which was filed in Madison County, Illinois, also states that Ervin Rymaszewski was exposed to asbestos when his wife, who was an assembly line worker for roughly 20 years, would bring the fibers home on her clothing.

Rymaszewski claims that the defendants knew or should have known that the asbestos fibers to which he was exposed during 34 years of employment as a truck driver, welder, lineman, and laborer had a highly deleterious affect on his health. He claims he was also exposed doing home and auto repairs that were not related to his employment.

Rymaszewski also claims the defendants continued to use asbestos in their products even when there were adequate substitutes available and also failed to provide directions for the safe handling of the products that contained asbestos.
