An asbestos scare at Mokelumne River School, in Lodi, CA, prompted the closing of several classrooms and the relocation of students. Clifford Goehring, president of the school’s board, said that the asbestos may have been disturbed by workers who were repairing a leaky walkway. School officials took action by moving students to empty classrooms and a nearby church. Further test results are still pending.
