A couple from Houston is suing several chemical and polymer companies after years of asbestos exposure led to the man’s development of malignant pulmonary cancer.
Clyde and Robbie Dempsey have filed a lawsuit against Union Carbide Corporation and many other companies, alleging the companies’ liability for the man’s injuries. The lawsuit alleges that the defendants were negligent and allowed Clyde Dempsey to be exposed to dangerous asbestos materials and other related products while he performed the tasks associated with his job.
Clyde was diagnosed with mesothelioma in 2007 after visiting his doctor for shortness of breath.
The defendants in the lawsuit include: Union Carbide, A.W. Chesterton, Certaineed, Bondex, Georgia Pacific, Kelly-Moore Paint Co., Avco, GE, Kaiser Gypsum, Amaco, Shell, Bechtel, Fluor, and Sun Oil.
